Our staff are registered with CCW and trained to a high standard at our on-site, award winning Teaching Care Centre. As well as mandatory training they are trained in person centred care planning, well-being, mindfulness, activities, quality of life and values and communication.
They are also trained in specialist areas depending on which area of the business they work in. For example, our staff who work in our Dementia and Mental Health Care Homes are also trained in Understanding Dementia and Mental Health, Recovery Model, Wellness Toolbox, Tidal Model, Diversity, Assertiveness and Attitudes, Behaviour Modification and Challenging Behaviour, Impact of Mental Illness on Physical Health, Communication and Transactional Analysis, Mental Capacity and Mental Health Act and the Impact of Mental Health on Person Centred Care.
We also have a number of Pendine Partners throughout the business who work with the Management Team to deliver new initiatives and ensure staff are highly trained and well informed.
The Pendine Partners Programme is a unique way of retaining, motivating and developing some of our best people to play a bigger part in the running of the organisation, fulfil their potential and recognise and reward their success.
